Ashland Belle Helene plantation is a historic property located in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, USA. The plantation was built in the early 19th century and was owned by several prominent families in Louisiana, including artist Henry Adams and Depression-era governor Richard Leche. The property has a Greek Revival-style mansion that sits on a 600-acre tract of land that includes a sugar cane farm, pecan grove, and a lake. In the late 1800s, Ashland Belle Helene was one of the most prominent sugar plantations in the state and also the site of a famous Civil War battle. Today, the mansion serves as a popular event venue and a tourist attraction.
